    The Regis College men’s and women’s tennis teams have been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) with ITA All-Academic Team Awards, it was announced this weekend. The Pride also had three members of its women’s team, and four members of the men’s squad named as ITA Scholar Athletes.

    Regis College and Wellesley College will be co-hosting an ITA Summer Circuit Tournament on Saturday, July 12, through Monday, July 14. This marks the first time that the ITA will host a tournament in the Boston metropolitan area after spending years in Vermont.

    Regis College sophomore Abbie Wehr (Suwanee, Ga.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year in women’s tennis in a vote by the conference coaches. Her doubles partner Emily Rice (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been named the NECC Rookie of the Year as well and the duo was named to both the First Team All-Conference Singles and Doubles Teams.
