WESTON, Mass. – For the second straight week, Regis College freshman Emily Rice (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week. Rice helped lead the Pride (4-2, 3-0 NECC) to a perfect 2-0 week last week.

Emily Rice went a perfect 4-0 in her matches this week with a 2-0 mark at No. 2 singles and a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles. She began the week with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles and an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles in a 5-4 win over Eastern Nazarene. In an NECC match against Mitchell, Rice won 6-2, 6-0, in her singles match and posted another 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Rice and the Regis College women's tennis team return to action on Tuesday afternoon when the Pride travel to Becker College for an NECC match at 3:00 p.m.
