REGIS COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF SPORTS MEDICINE

The mission of the Regis College Sports Medicine Team is to support our student-athletes’ physical, emotional, and social well-being primarily through the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.

The Sports Medicine team works to ensure proper diagnosis, treatment and appropriate referral if needed to ensure a complete and prompt recovery from injury or illness that takes the student-athlete’s whole-being into account.

The Sports Medicine staff possesses knowledge in injury prevention, injury recognition, evaluation and assessment, immediate care, and the treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries. All members are Allied Health Care Professionals that are Massachusetts State licensed as Athletic Trainers and are NATABOC Certified.

The Sports Medicine team collaborates with many healthcare providers working directly with team physicians out of Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Andrea Stracciolini and Dr. Yi-Meng “Beng” Yen, and collaborating closely with Regis Community Health & Counseling Services.
