Sharon Millett joins the Regis College athletic training staff as assistant athletic trainer starting in the 2024-25 academic year.

Millett comes to Regis after a year as assistant athletic trainer at Emmanuel College in Boston, primarily covering women's soccer, men's basketball, women's lacrosse, softball, cross country, and track & field. Her specialties included IASTM (cupping; Graston/scrapping); soft tissue manipulation; dry needling; spinal and peripheral mobilization; concussion management (SWAY); sport -supportive taping; agility and sports-conditioning programming; and proprioceptive and flexibility rehabilitation.

From 2015 to 2023, Millett was a certified athletic trainer at AGS Physical Therapy in Watertown, Mass., collaborating with a small physical therapy staff on injuries both related to sports and non-sports related. In the past, she has been a clinical exercise physiology intern at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, a research intern at the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, Mass., and a student athletic trainer at Northeastern University, Harvard University, and Somerville High School.

Millett completed her bachelor's degree in athletic training and exercise physiology at Northeastern University in June 1993 and her master's degree in middle school education with a science concentration from Salem State University in May 2006. She is licensed in athletic training in both Massachusetts and Texas, a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) test candidate in the summer of 2024.
