WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College women's tennis team, the reigning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Champion, has been selected as the preseason favorite in the annual coaches poll. Determined by a vote of the league's coaches, the Pride received 34 points and four-of-six possible first place votes to place atop of the poll.

Regis returns five starters from last year's squad, including 2012 NECC Co-Player of the Year, Abigail Wehr (Suwanee, Ga.).

Becker (29) and Bay Path (26) were selected to finish second and third, respectively, after claiming one first place vote each.

Rounding out the second half of the poll are Newbury, Lesley, and Mitchell in the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots, respectively.
