REGIS TENNIS VOLUNTEERS AT WALK FOR HUNGER

WESTON, Mass. - On Sunday May 4, the Regis College men's and women's tennis teams volunteered at the 46th annual Walk for Hunger, which promotes the goal of raising money for Project Bread so they can help feed struggling families and individuals in the city.

The teams helped with cheering on the 43,000 walkers as they passed the checkpoint and filled up water cups throughout the morning. Regis tennis had one of its own amongst the 43,000 as freshman Emily Rice (Pittsfield, Mass.) partook in the walk herself saying, "The Walk for Hunger was an amazing experience and I had fun raising money for a good cause".

Also, both teams were helping sign maps for each walker as they passed the halfway point of the 20 mile loop around the Boston area. Regis tennis had a great time and were glad to help Project Bread in their efforts to raise money for their cause.
