    In their final meet of the 2011-12 outdoor track & field season, the five qualifying athletes for the Division III New England Track & Field Championships competed on Saturday at MIT. Under an overcast sky and cool temperatures, the Pride athletes didn't disappoint, capping off a stellar year with even more top-notch performances.

    The Regis College Outdoor Track & Field Team wrapped-up their regular season this weekend with their annual home meet: The Regis Pride Classic Invitational. Even with blustery winds and temperatures in the 50s, the competition stayed fierce, producing great performances for a number of athletes.

    WESTON, Mass.- Enjoying warm temperatures and their end of the season taper, the Regis College outdoor track & field team competed at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational. The meet produced new personal bests for athletes, as well as two individual qualifying marks for the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

    After a short Easter weekend hiatus, the Regis College outdoor track & field team returned to Dedham, Massachusetts to compete in the Solomon Husky Invitational. Feeling fresh as they enter into the peak of their season, the warm temperatures and great competitions yielded a number of inspiring performances.

    The Regis College track & field team competed at the Tufts Snowflake Classic this past week. Facing 40-degree temperatures and damp conditions the team still shone brightly amidst overcast skies, aptly posting several strong early-season performances. The Regis athletes took it all in stride, notching a couple of school records, personal bests, and top-10 finishes.

    The Regis College outdoor track and field team opened up its season this Saturday at the Northeastern Husky Spring Open. Training through the event, the squad used the meet as a hard practice. But, even while competing through fatigue, windy conditions, and temperatures in the 50’s, a few athletes posted solid opening performances.
  • ISRAEL CAPS SEASON AT ECAC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP

    Competing at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, Regis College freshman sprinter Jeremy Israel (Medfield, Mass.) capped his inaugural indoor season with a grand finale. Held this year at the Armory Track in New York City, the ECAC meet featured indoor squads from Maryland to Maine, with over 62 teams scoring and plenty of stiff competition for the Israel to compete against.
  • ISRAEL MAKES HISTORY FOR REGIS TRACK AND FIELD

    Freshman Jeremy Israel (Medfield, Mass.) makes history this weekend as the first male athlete for the Regis College Track & Field Teams to compete at the Division III ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Since the Men’s Team inception in 2009, only one other athlete (Adam Heathman) has thus far qualified for ECAC’s, with Israel the first slated to participate.

    Competing in their final meet of the 2011-12 regular season, the men’s and women’s track & field squads finished with fast times and high marks. The sprinters competed on Boston University’s fast track at the Valentine’s Invitational, while the distance and field events competed on the other side of the Charles River at the MIT CO-ED Invitational.

    The Regis College men’s and women’s Indoor track & field teams returned to action at the Tufts Invitational on January 14th. Nearing the end of their final conditioning phase, fatigued bodies and a heavy training period still couldn’t keep the men from setting two new records and women posting positive marks.

    In perhaps one of the most successful early-season meets in the past ten years, the Regis Indoor Track and Field Team finished off the semester in stellar form. Competing at the Harvard Invitational, both the men and women performed brilliantly against a variety of New England teams.
