ISRAEL MAKES HISTORY FOR REGIS TRACK AND FIELD

WESTON, Mass. - Freshman Jeremy Israel (Medfield, Mass.) makes history this weekend as the first male athlete for the Regis College Track & Field Teams to compete at the Division III ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Since the Men's Team inception in 2009, only one other athlete (Adam Heathman) has thus far qualified for ECAC's, with Israel the first slated to participate.

Israel's marks in the 400 and 500-meter dashes qualified him for the championship to be hosted at The Armory in New York City. The meet will be webcast live, and will also provide real-time results per event at: www.armorytrack.com. The Pride sprinter is scheduled to race in the 500-meter dash at 12:40 Saturday afternoon.
