BOSTON/MEDFORD, Mass. - Three school records fell as members of the Regis College men's track and field team competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 23-25.

At Tufts University, Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) started his heptathlon Friday by finishing fourth among the 12 competitors in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.34 seconds. He then smashed the Regis indoor record in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.60 meters (21' 8") on his third and final attempt, 0.13 meters further than the previous school record.

In the shot put, Thuotte earned a personal-best mark of 10.33 meters (33' 10.75") on his second attempt. He closed out the first day by clearing 1.76 meters (5' 9.25") in the high jump to end up in fourth place after four events with 2,583 points.

Thuotte opened Saturday's competition with a time of 10.88 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, and then he cleared 3.70 meters (12' 1.5") in the pole vault. He concluded the heptathlon with a time of 3:17.52 in the 1000 meter run to total a school-record 4,008 points, 377 points more than the previous standard he established over one year ago. Thuotte finished fifth in the heptathlon for All-New England honors.

Sunday at The TRACK at New Balance, another school record fell in the morning when the quartet of Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.), Riley Stogsdill (San Diego, Calif.), Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.), and Zach Sigman (Buffalo, N.Y.) broke the indoor Regis record in the distance medley relay by 0.3 seconds. They completed the 4000-meter event in 11:30.55, breaking the previous standard of 11:30.85 established four years ago at the 2020 Massasoit Classic at Springfield College.

Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) posted a mark of 13.61 meters (44' 8") in the men's weight throw.
