Regis Represents Well at Wesleyan Indoor Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Regis College men's track and field team produced solid results Saturday at the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational held at the Bacon Field House.

The team's top individual placements were found in the pole vault as Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) finished second after clearing a personal-best height of 3.80 meters (12' 5.5"), followed by Brett Kiesel (Rocky Hill, Conn.) after clearing 3.50 meters (11' 5.75"). Thuotte also finished ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.91 meters (39' 1").

Also in the field events, Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) finished ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 12.97 meters (42' 6.75"). DJ Marks (Medford, Mass.) placed 11th in the high jump after clearing 1.56 meters (5' 1.25").

On the track, Bryce Toumayan-Miller (Natick, Mass.) finished ninth overall in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.80 seconds. Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished 11th in both the 800 meter run in 2:12.20 and the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:09.57, just ahead of Zach Sigman (Buffalo, N.Y.) in 12th place with a time of 10:25.56.

Manny Grant (Dorchester, Mass.) posted a personal season-best mark of 5.45 meters (17' 10.75") in the long jump as well as a time of 25.30 seconds in his first career collegiate 200 meter dash. He also led off the 4x400 meter relay, joining Kederson Pierre (Everett, Mass.), Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.), and Riley Stogsdill (San Diego, Calif.) for an overall time of 3:58.73.

The Regis College track and field team is finalizing its next competition, expected to take place next Saturday, Feb. 3.
