Pride Close Out New England Division III Indoor Championships with New School Record

BOSTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's track and field team competed at the Track at New Balance for Day Two of the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) kicked off the day in the triple jump, where the junior recorded a mark of 12.43 meters, finishing in 23rd place. In the field events, Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) took to the ring for the weight throw, producing a toss of 13.79 meters, which earned him 31st place overall.

The men's 4x400 relay team, consisting of Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.), Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.), Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.), and Riley Stogsdill (San Diego, Calif.), capped off the meet by setting a new Regis College indoor record with a time of 3:32.07, surpassing the previous mark set in 2016 by 0.73 seconds and finishing 22nd overall.

The Pride concluded the New England Division III Indoor Championship weekend with four new school records:

  • Women's 600M – 1:39.49 – Aubrey Heise (Mattapoisett, Mass.)
  • Women's 4x200M – 1:50.04 – Aleyo Amasa Titus (Georgetown, Mass.), Olivia Dench (Center Moriches, N.Y.), Abby Killbride (Peabody, Mass.), and Heise
  • Men's DMR – 11:28.56 – LaPorte, Margiatto, Happenny, and Stogsdill
  • Men's 4x400 – 3:32.07 – LaPorte, Margiatto, Happenny, and Stogsdill
