SALAMONE SELECTED NECC'S TOP ROOKIE, CONANT NAMED COACH OF THE YEAR

Regis College freshman Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference’s Rookie of the Year, it was announced on Monday morning by the league offices. Salamone was also named to the All-NECC First Team along with Regis’ Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) and Andrea Barbosa (Taunton, Mass.). Goalkeeper Emma Decker (Southborough, Mass.) was named to the All-NECC Honorable Mention Team.

For the sixth time this season, the Regis College duo of sophomore Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) and freshman Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) have swept New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) weekly honors for women's lacrosse, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning.

PRIDE CAPTURE INAUGURAL NECC CHAMPIONSHIP IN OT THRILLER

Freshman midfielder and All-Tournament MVP Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) saved her best goal for last, scoring the eventual game-winner 1:07 into overtime play as the Regis College women's lacrosse team held on to win the 2013 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship over Becker College on Saturday afternoon.

PRIDE ADVANCE TO NECC CHAMPIONSHIP

The number one seeded Regis College women's lacrosse team was able to put together eleven second half goals to secure a 20-8 win in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Semifinals against #4 Elms College on Wednesday evening.

PRIDE NAMED TOP SEED IN WOMEN’S LAX TOURNAMENT

After posting a perfect 5-0 record in the New England Collegiate Conference regular season, the Regis College women’s lacrosse team has been named the No. 1 seed in the upcoming NECC Tournament. The Pride (11-6, 5-0 NECC) will host #5 Elms College (5-9, 2-3 NECC) on Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m.

REGIS WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON WITH 16-7 WIN

Becker College fell to Regis College 16-7 in New England Collegiate Conference women’s lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. The win lifts the pride to 11-7 (5-0 NECC), earning them the top seed in the upcoming NECC Tournament. The loss drops the Haws to 6-9 (4-1 NECC).

Regis College improved to a perfect 3-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with a 17-3 victory over Daniel Webster College in women’s lacrosse action on Tuesday night in Weston, Mass. The Pride improve to 8-6 overall with the win, while Daniel Webster falls to 0-5 and 0-3 in league games.

Trailing 9-6 at halftime, Salem State University scored 11 goals in the second half en route to a 17-14 victory over Regis College on Tuesday night in women’s lacrosse action. The Pride dip to .500 at 6-6 overall, while the Vikings improve to 2-6 and snap a six-game losing streak.
