WESTON, Mass. – Regis College improved to a perfect 3-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with a 17-3 victory over Daniel Webster College in women's lacrosse action on Tuesday night in Weston, Mass. The Pride improve to 8-6 overall with the win, while Daniel Webster falls to 0-5 and 0-3 in league games.

Lindsey Graver (Bellingham, Mass.) started the scoring for the Pride, coming from behind the net and nailing a low shot to put Regis on top 1-0. Sashae Walls (Everett, Mass.) followed with a free position goal before Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) had back-to-back tallies to put Regis on top 4-0 with 22:48 to play in the opening half. Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) then took over, scoring four of the next five Pride goals to extend the Regis lead to 9-0. Salamone recorded the other tally during the run.

Salamone scored her fourth goal of the half with 10:15 to play and Katie Haidemenos (Warwick, R.I.) entered the scoring column 40 seconds later to cap off an 11-0 run by Regis to start the game. Daniel Webster ended the streak when Brandi Ritz (Burlington, N.J.) won the ensuing draw control following Haidemenos' tally and went the length of the field, cutting through the Pride defense and beating the Regis keeper with a bounce shot to make it an 11-1 game. Politis added two quick scores before the end of the half as Regis entered the break with a 13-1 lead.

Rachel Wong (Wakefield, Mass.) potted her third goal of the season to open the second half and Stacy Burns (Waltham, Mass.) followed with her first tally of the game just over five minutes later to put Regis on top 15-1. DWC's Alexis Pavelock (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) scored at the 15:06 mark of the second period as she took a pass from Ritz and beat her defender 1-on-1 for the goal. Ritz picked up her second goal of the game a mere 21 seconds later as she used a nifty spin move to get through the Pride defense and make it a 15-3 game. Mary Roma (Portland, Maine) and Burns each added one more goal for the Pride over the final 11 minutes of action as Regis cruised to a 17-3 NECC win.
