WESTON, Mass. - Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) and Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) of the Regis College women's lacrosse team have been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for their performances in Regis' season opener on Tuesday.

Politis scored six goals on nine shots and added one assist for seven points for the Pride, who fell to Rivier, 15-14. She also won four draw controls and scooped up five ground balls for Regis.

Salamone scored six goals on nine shots and added two assists for eight points for the Pride. She also won eight draw controls, scooped up 15 ground balls, and had one caused turnover.

Regis will be back in action this Saturday, March 9 when they travel to Texas to take on Dallas at 3:30 p.m.
