    Bay Path College falls 74-44 to New England Collegiate College (NECC) top ranked opponent Regis College today in the final regular season contest of the 2011-12 campaign. Both the Wildcats head coach Jill Shaw and the Pride’s head coach Julie Plant managed to play both benches with junior Bay Path forward Kayla Skiffington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) topping all players with 18 points, eleven rebounds and six steals.

    The Regis College women’s basketball team remained unbeaten in New England Collegiate Conference play as the Pride swept past the Southern Vermont Mountaineers by a score of 81-48, Thursday evening. With the win, Regis improves to 11-3 on the season and 8-0 in the NECC. Southern Vermont drops to 4-10 on the season and 3-4 in NECC action.

The Pride fell in the championship game to King’s College (Pa.) by the score of 60-49 and move to 5-3 on the season. The victory gives the Monarch’s its eighth win of the year.

    The New England Collegiate Conference announced the preseason polls for the 2011-12 women’s basketball season Thursday afternoon. The Regis College women’s basketball team was picked to finished first in the NECC.
