    Regis College’s Kelsey Morton (South Portland, Maine) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, it was announced by the league offices on Monday morning. Morton helped lead the Pride (3-12, 2-2 NECC) to a 2-0 victory over Becker College last week.

    The Regis College field hockey team hosted New England Collegiate Conference rival Wheelock College on Saturday afternoon at a rain soaked Regis Stadium. Both teams battled through the elements, and the Wildcats came through with a 2-0 victory over the host Pride. With the win, the Wildcats end their two game losing streak and move to 2-6 on the year and earn their first NECC victory. With the loss, the Pride drop to 2-10 on the season and earn their first conference defeat.

    Regis College midfielder Sashae Walls (Everett, Mass.) scored two goals, including the game-winner and added three defensive saves as the Pride defeated the visiting Bay Path University Wildcats 4-0 at Regis Stadium on Friday evening in the New England Collegiate Conference opener for both squads. With the victory, the Pride end their five game losing streak and move to 2-5 on the year, 1-0 in the conference, while the Wildcats fall to 0-5 on the season and suffer their first conference loss (0-1).
