PRIDE DRAW FRANKLIN & MARSHALL IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College field hockey team will travel to Franklin and Marshall College for their first-ever NCAA Tournament game on Wednesday, November 12.

The Pride (6-13) won their second New England Collegiate Conference Championship this past Saturday with a victory over Elms College in penalty strokes. Laurie DeMars (Maynard, Mass.) and Becka Sarson (York, Maine) scored in the shootout, while Tournament MVP Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) backstopped the Pride with seven saves in the Finals.

Regis will be making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, capturing the NECC automatic bid with their Championship win.

The Pride will be taking on a Franklin and Marshall squad that currently sits at 17-2 overall after coming up just short in the Centennial Conference Championship match this past weekend. The Diplomats return to the NCAA Tournament after a one year hiatus and grabbed an at-large bid into the big dance.
