HECK EARNS THIRD NECC WEEKLY HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior goaltender Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in field hockey, it was announced Monday morning.

This is the third time she has received Player of the Week honors this season.

Heck allowed only one goal in two NECC Tournament games, including 100 minutes of shutout action in the Championship against Elms. She either saved or forced misses on four of five penalty strokes to decide the title game. In 170 minutes of action in the two games Heck made eight saves and allowed only the one goal on her way to being named the NECC Tournament MVP.

The Pride won the NECC Championship by defeated top seeded Elms College 1-0 on penalty strokes. Regis will travel to Franklin and Marshall College for their first-ever NCAA Tournament game on Wednesday, November 12th.
