WESTON, Mass. – Regis College's Kelsey Morton (South Portland, Maine) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, it was announced by the league offices on Monday morning. Morton helped lead the Pride (3-12, 2-2 NECC) to a 2-0 victory over Becker College last week.

Morton scored both goals in the decision against Becker, tallying twice in the second half. Her first goal came in the 41st minute off a pass from Laurie DeMars (Maynard, Mass.) that was tipped home. Just over 20 minutes later, Morton scored in the same fashion, this time off a pass from Jenna Casello (Westborough, Mass.).

Morton is tied for second on the team with three goals and an assist, and is third on the team with seven points.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Fitchburg State University for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Falcons.
