WINTHROP, Mass. - Regis College first-year student-athletes Conrad Kalinowski (London, England) and Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) have been selected to receive major awards from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the just-completed outdoor track and field season, as Kalinowski was voted GNAC Men's Field Athlete of the Year and Thuotte received GNAC Men's Field Rookie of the Year honors.

In addition, head coach Ben Colello and assistant coaches Cole Anderson and Riley McMahon were voted GNAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coaching Staff of the Year, and both the men's and women's squads received their respective GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Team Sportsmanship Award.

"I am so proud of the tremendous effort of both our women's and men's track and field teams this outdoor season," Colello said. "These awards are a reflection of the strength and determination of the entire program this year, a group that always supported each other, maintained a strong work ethic, and contributed to an outstanding team dynamic. Congratulations to both teams on a great year, and we can't wait to get back to work soon!"

After leading the women's track and field team to the conference championship in indoor track and field, the team of Colello, Anderson, and McMahon helped the Pride women finish second at the GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, battling with eventual champion Emmanuel College throughout the meet. The Regis women earned conference titles in the 800 meter run, 1500 meter run, 5000 meter run, 10,000 meter run, 4x100 meter relay, and hammer throw.
