2023 GNAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Coaching Staff of the Year

Riley McMahon enters her second year with the Regis College athletics staff as an assistant coach for cross country and track & field starting in 2022-23.

In 2021-22, several members of the cross country team and distance group within the track and field team earned All-GNAC honors, including GNAC titles for Ashleigh Kelley, Erin Kelley, and the 4x800 meter relay quartet of Michael Carroll, AJ Corso, Benjamin Happenny, and Zach Sigman.

McMahon was a member of the cross country and track & field teams at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn. She received track & field team MVP honors three times during her collegiate career as well as All-MIAC recognition in both the one mile run and 3000 meter steeplechase. She won the 3000 meter steeplechase at the 2021 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a collegiate-best time of 11:08.93. She competed in the 2021 Division III Elite Indoor Track & Field Championships in both the 3000 meter run and as part of the distance medley relay squad.

During the 2018 cross country season, she was named team MVP and earned All-Conference honors after finishing 15th at the MIAC Championships. 

McMahon graduated from St. Catherine University in August 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology and Spanish.
