PRIDE ANOUNCES FIVE PLAYERS FOR NFHCA ACADEMIC AWARD
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College field hockey team has had five members of the squad selected for the 2010-11 National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Academic Award. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year.

MORRISON AND MITCHELL NAMED TO FIELD HOCKEY ALL-TCCC TEAM
Weston, Mass.--The Commonwealth Coast Conference announced its Field Hockey All-Conference Team selections Wednesday (Oct. 28). Junior Chelsea Morrsion (Windham, N.H. /Salem) was selected to the ALL-TCCC Second Team, while teammate Morgan Mitchell (Ashburnham, Mass./Oakmont Regional) was selected as a honorable mention.

MITCHELL HAS FIVE SAVES IN 3-0 LOSS TO SCOTS
Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women’s field hockey team lost to Gordon College Saturday (Oct. 23) by the score of 3-0. The Pride moves to 4-12 overall on the season and are 1-7 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Scots move to 6-12 overall on the season and are 4-4 in TCCC play.

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women’s field hockey team has played well defensively all season. This strong defensive play has garnered the Pride top rankings in both NCAA and The Commonwealth Coast Conference statistical categories. Currently the Pride rank number one in the Commonwealth Coast Conference statistical categories of: team total saves, team saves per game, and total defensive saves. Nationally the Pride rank third in the NCAA with (20) defensive saves on the season. The Pride’s (14.07) saves per game average ranks them fifth in the NCAA

Weston, Mass. ---The Regis College field hockey team was defeated by Endicott College Saturday (Oct. 16) by the score of 7-1. The Pride moves to (4-11) overall on the season and are (1-6) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Gulls improve to (9-6) overall on the season and are (4-3) in TCCC play.

WESTON, Mass.—Capturing its fourth win of the season in a 2-1 win in overtime over Wheelock College (Sept. 30), the Pride will look to capture its second conference win of the season when the team travels to Salve Regina (Oct. 5). A win over Anna Maria (Sept. 25) is Regis’ only conference win in two years.

REGIS COLLEGE HOLDS BECKER TO OVERTIME
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College (4-7) lost its seventh game of the season losing to Becker College (3-7) 2-1 Saturday during Regis’ homecoming. The Pride’s Candace Ferry (Malden, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) scored an unassisted goal against Becker’s Nakita Gosselin (Springfield, Vt./Springfield). The goal was Ferry’s seventh score of the season. Michelle Griczika (Barre, Mass./Gardner) tied the game scoring on an assist from Jessica Provencher (Berwick, Maine/Berwick).

Regis College (2-6, 1-4 TCCC) captured its second win of the season, and first conference victory Saturday by defeating Anna Maria College 2-1.

PAPPAS PUTS PRIDE ON PACE TO WIN WITH SECOND HALF GOAL
PAXTON, Mass. (09.25.10) – The Regis College field hockey team overcame a 1-0 half time deficit to defeat Anna Maria College by a score of 2-1 during a The Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup at AMCAT Field on Saturday afternoon. The win marked the first TCCC victory of the season for the Pride, who improve to 2-6 (1-2 TCCC) on the year, while the loss drops the AMCATS to 1-7 (0-3 TCCC).

VICTORIA PAPPAS NETS GOAL FOR REGIS COLLEGE
Newton, MA— Sophomore Katelyn Fabri (Fairfield, CT) delivered the game-winning goal shortly after the halftime break as Lasell College field hockey defeated neighboring non-conference rivals Regis College, 3-1, at Grellier Field. Lasell moves to 3-4 with their second consecutive win, while Regis falls to 1-6 on the year.

WESTON, Mass.—Nichols College (5-1, 2-0 TCCC) posted four goals in the first half of its 8-2 defeat of its The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Regis College (1-7, 0-2 TCCC) Saturday. Barbara Roy (Springfield, Mass./Cathedral) scored the Bison’s first goal, and later assisted on a goal. Regis’ Meghan Robohm (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) scored with less than 5:00 minutes remaining in the first half, to post the Pride’s only goal of the half.

Regis College (1-5, 0-1 TCCC) managed just three shots on goal in the first half, all came off of penalty corners. Natalie Bates had a first-half high of seven shots, six being on goal against Regis' Morgan Mitchell (Ashburnham, Mass./Oakmont Regional). Mitchell had seven saves at the end of the first period, and finished with 14 saves total.

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women’s field hockey team lost to Thomas College Tuesday (Sept. 14) by the score of 2-1. The Pride were down 2-0 for most of the game but continued to play tough defense against the Terriers. Scoring for the Terriers were Kellie Martel (Cambridge, Maine) and Kristin Manessa (Montville, Maine). Terrier’s senior goalkeeper Megan Denby (Copiague, NY) held the Pride scoreless in the first half.

The Pride enter the contest 1-2 after a loss to fellow The Commonwealth Coast Conference member Western New England College earlier this week. The Terriers enter the game 0-3 in the North Atlantic Conference with losses to Husson College and Utica College early this season.

FERRY TURNS HAT TRICK IN FIELD HOCKEY WIN OVER ELMS
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College field hockey (1-1) captured its first win of the season with a 3-0 defeat of Elms College (0-1) Wednesday. Regis' Candace Ferry pulled a hat trick, scoring all three of the Pride's goals in the win. Two of Ferry's goals were assisted. Molly Texiera (Rindge, N.H.) andKymberly Kerr assisted Ferry.
