PRIDE SET TO PLAY TERRIERS

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women's field hockey team is set to take on Thomas College Tuesday (Sept. 14) at the Regis College Athletic Fields.  The Pride enter the contest 1-2 after a loss to fellow The Commonwealth Coast Conference member Western New England College earlier this week.  The Terriers enter the game 0-3 in the North Atlantic Conference with losses to Husson College and Utica College early this season.

Leading the Pride on offense is freshman Candace Ferry (Malden, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) who leads the team in scoring with three goals on the season. On defense the Pride is lead by freshman goalkeeper Morgan Mitchell (Ashburnham, Mass./Oakmont Regional)who has 55 saves in goal on the season. Setting the tone on the field for the Pride are junior captains Victoria Pappas (Niantic, Conn./East Lyme) and Meghan Robohm (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) who lead with their wealth of in-game experience.

For the visiting Terriers, senior forward Kellie Martel (Cambridge, Maine.)  leads the team offensively by scoring seven registered goals and three assists.  On the defensive side of the field senior Megan Denby (Copiague, NY.) starts in goal for the Terriers.  Denby lead the Terrier defense in minutes played and saves.

The Game will be played at the Regis College Athletic Fields and is set to start at 7:00 pm.
