
WOMEN'S TENNIS HOSTS REGIS INVITATIONAL
April 17, 2012The second annual Regis College women’s tennis invitational tournament was held last Saturday, April 14th in absolutely stunning weather. The sun was out and the temperature was in the 70’s, for the 32 players from six college teams.

March 13, 2012The Regis men’s and women’s tennis teams spent spring break week at Hilton Head, S.C. participating in the Spring TennisFest program with more than 300 players from division I, II and III College teams from as far as Indiana and Ohio. Spring TennisFest is held during the month of March, the typical college spring break period. It is run by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), headquartered on Hilton Head Island and started by noted tennis pro Dennis Van de Meer.

February 13, 2012For the past two months the Regis College men’s and women’s tennis teams have been spending time teaching autistic children the fundamentals of tennis. Head coach John Ciarleglio was pleased with the enthusiasm from both his players and the children at the Longfellow Tennis Club. “We were looking for an opportunity to work with kids that would hopefully take advantage of our love of tennis at the same time.” Participation in Richard Spurling’s ACEing Autism program allows the Regis tennis team an opportunity to have a positive impact in a child’s life.
