MORRISON AND MITCHELL NAMED TO FIELD HOCKEY ALL-TCCC TEAM

Weston, Mass.--The Commonwealth Coast Conference announced its Field Hockey All-Conference Team selections Wednesday (Oct. 28).  Junior Chelsea Morrsion (Windham, N.H. /Salem) was selected to the ALL-TCCC Second Team, while teammate Morgan Mitchell (Ashburnham, Mass./Oakmont Regional) was selected as a honorable mention.

Morrison played in 16 games for the Pride and recorded six defensive saves on the season. Morrison’s strong defensive performance this season helped the Pride finish fourth in the nation for defensive saves with a total of (20) on the season.

Mitchell played in all 16 games for the Pride and was the team’s defensive backbone. Mitchell finished the season with (214) total saves and a save percentage of (.790). This impressive save percentage ranked her fourth in the nation for overall save percentages.

Morrison and Mitchell are the first All-TCCC selections in field hockey since the team won the Sportsmanship Award in 2007.
