MITCHELL HAS FIVE SAVES IN 3-0 LOSS TO SCOTS

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women's field hockey team lost to Gordon College Saturday (Oct. 23) by the score of 3-0. The Pride moves to 4-12 overall on the season and are 1-7 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Scots move to 6-12 overall on the season and are 4-4 in TCCC play.

Leading the Pride on defense was freshman goalkeeper Morgan Mitchell (Ashburnham, Mass./Oakmont Regional) who had five saves on the day.  Candace Ferry (Malden, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) led the Pride on offense with three shots on goal.

 The Scots out shot the Pride 14-8 and were able to convert three of their 14 shots for goals. Scoring twice for the Scots was Veronica pierce (West Hartford, Conn.) who scored on an unassisted play and a penalty stroke. Clara baker (Underhill, V.t.) also had one goal for the Scots.
 
This was the final regular season game for the Pride who finish the season with a record of 4-12.
