Pride Women’s Track and Field Continues Outdoor Season at Tufts

SOMERVILLE, Mass. - The Regis College women's track and field team continued the 2023 outdoor season by participating in the Snowflake Classic, hosted Saturday by Tufts University at the Dussault Track and Field Complex.

Grace Micklon (Salem, N.H.) tied the school outdoor record in the high jump, clearing 1.42 meters (4' 7.75") to finished in a tie for seventh place in the event. Libby Parker (Bow, N.H.) earned the team's best individual finish, placing fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a personal collegiate-best time of 13:26.94, over 22 seconds faster than her previous best time.

Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) finished ninth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:03.45, while Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) led the Pride with a 13th place finish in the 5000 meter run in 19:19.37. Ashleigh Kelley also anchored the Regis 4x400 meter relay, teaming with Annabelle Jean-Philippe (Randolph, Mass.), Olivia Dench (Center Moriches, N.Y.), and Elisa D'Sa (Bellmore, N.Y.) for a 10th place finish with an overall time of 4:48.61.

Dench anchored the 4x100 meter relay, joining Lily Belschner (Revere, Mass.), Mikayla Francois (Walpole, Mass.), and Abby Kilbride (Peabody, Mass.) for an overall time of 55.42 seconds, good enough for seventh place. Belschner led the Pride in the 200 meter dash with a time of 30.49 seconds, followed by Francois at 30.55 seconds, Dench at 30.75 seconds, and Kilbride in 30.97 seconds.

In the throwing events, Tori Bradley (Dracut, Mass.) placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 33.58 meters (110' 2") posted on her third attempt and 13th in the javelin throw at 22.72 meters (74' 6"), also on her third attempt. Pilar Brown (Rockland, Mass.) finished ninth in the shot put with a top mark of 9.19 meters (30' 2") achieved on her first throw.

As a team, the Pride finished in 15th place with 11.6 points. Host school Tufts ran away with the team title after accumulating 183 points.  

The Regis College track and field team will host the Regis Spring Classic Thursday, April 6, beginning at 10 a.m. at Regis Stadium.
