Women’s Track & Field Breaks Two School Records

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Regis College women's track and field team broke two school records, both in relay events, as the Pride competed at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational Saturday, hosted by Tufts University at the Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center.

In the 4x200 meter relay, the quartet of Abby Kilbride (Peabody, Mass.), Olivia Dench (Center Moriches, N.Y.), Colleen Curran (Woburn, Mass.), and Aleyo Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) combined to post a time of 1:52.67, 9/10ths of a second faster than the previous standard established by the same foursome at the Suffolk Relays Dec. 2, 2023.

Later in the meet, Curran and Amasa-Titus teamed with Janet Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) and Annabelle Jean-Philippe (Randolph, Mass.) for a school-record time of 4:25.20 in the 4x400 meter relay, 14/100ths of a second faster than the previous standard set Feb. 23, 2019.

Aleyo Amasa-Titus came close to the school record in the 200 meter dash, finishing second in her heat and fifth overall with a time of 27.65 seconds, just 6/100ths of a second off the school record. She also finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 4.69 meters (15' 4.75").

Jonnie Charest (Methuen, Mass.) crossed the finish line in sixth place in the 5000 meter run with a personal-best time of 22:29.39. Curran finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 10.61 seconds, while Dench produced a personal-best time of 1:06.63 in the 400 meter dash to end up 11th in that event.
