#6 SEED PRIDE FALL TO NEWBURY IN NECC FIRST ROUNDApril 30, 2013The third seeded Newbury College advances to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Semifinals after defeating sixth seed Regis College, 4-1, Saturday afternoon. Senior righthander Rebecca Roach (Charlton, Mass.) went the distance, tossing seven innings allowing just one unearned run on five hits while striking out five Pride batters.

PRIDE SWEEP WHEELOCK ON SENIOR DAYApril 28, 2013The Regis College softball team picked up a doubleheader sweep of Wheelock College, 16-1 and 16-0, both in five innings on Sunday afternoon in Weston, Mass. The Pride wrap up the regular season at 12-22 overall and 8-10 in the New England Collegiate Conference, while Wheelock drops to 0-29 and 0-18 in league games.

MOUNTAINEERS CLIMB OVER PRIDE IN SWEEPApril 27, 2013Southern Vermont College posted a doubleheader sweep over Regis College in New England Collegiate Conference softball action on Saturday afternoon at Willow Park. The Mountaineers took the first game 4-3 before concluding the sweep with a 5-2 victory.

REGIS RALLIES PAST NEWBURY FOR DOUBLEHEADER SPLITApril 22, 2013Regis College split a New England Collegiate Conference softball doubleheader with Newbury College on a cold and windy night Monday night in Weston, Mass. The Pride (10-20, 6-8 NECC) dropped game one to the Nighthawks (17-16, 11-5 NECC) by a score of 7-1, but rallied late in game two to come out on top 11-10 in the nightcap.

SCOTS TAKE TWO FROM PRIDEApril 18, 2013In non-conference softball action today, the Fighting Scots of Gordon College took two games from the Regis Pride by scores of 5-4 and 6-2. Gordon’s Marissa Meenan (Wayne, Pa.) went 3-for-3 in game one to help the Scots to the doubleheader sweep.

The Lions (2-0) picked up a 3-0 win in the opening game versus the Pride (0-2) and followed that up with a walk-off, 5-4 win in eight innings in the second game.
