WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Kirbie Garvey (Littleton, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in softball this week. Garvey helped lead the Pride (4-10, 2-2 NECC) to three wins last week.

Garvey batted .500 (6-for-12) on the week and hit three triples over the four game span. Garvey went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored in a 5-2 win over Pine Manor, and followed that up with a 2-for-3 showing with a pair of triples, an RBI and three runs scored in game two. Garvey added another triple and three RBI in the Pride's 6-3 win over Becker. Garvey also added a pair of stolen bases this week.

Kirbie Garvey and the Regis College Pride return to action on Tuesday night as they welcome Mount Ida College for a non-league doubleheader starting at 5:00 p.m.
