NASHUA, N.H. – Regis College split a New England Collegiate Conference doubleheader with Daniel Webster College on Saturday afternoon in Nashua, N.H. The Pride (9-15) took game one, 7-3, before the Eagles (9-15) walked off with a 4-3 win in the nightcap.

The Pride banged out 15 hits and plated seven runs in the day's opener. Samantha Bliss (Framingham, Mass.) and Michaela NeJaime (Sandisfield, Mass.) each went 3-for-4 in the first game, combining for a pair of RBI and three runs scored as well. Regis took a 2-0 lead after two innings as Raegan Heck had an RBI single in the first inning and Kirbie Garvey (Littleton, Mass.) had a sacrifice fly to score NeJaime in the second. Daniel Webster finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth as Amanda Wilson drove in Courtney Brennan with an RBI single to make it a 2-1 game.

Garvey gave the Pride a 3-1 lead with an RBI double in the top of the sixth and the freshman came around to score on an error by the Eagles, staking the Pride to a 4-1 lead. The runs would prove crucial as Theresa DiSantis drove in a pair of runs with a two-run double to cut the deficit to 4-3. Regis got some breathing room in the seventh as Kaitlynn LaPolt drove in a run in the top of the seventh and Michaela NeJaime followed with a two-run single to put the Pride on top 7-3.

The Pride bats stayed alive in the second game as a sac fly from Bliss and an RBI single by Jill Bruning (Medford, Mass.) gave the Pride a 2-0 lead in the opening inning. DWC answered in the bottom of the third as DiSantis drove in a pair of runs with a triple to knot the game at 2-2.

Kirbie Garvey's RBI double in the top of the fourth but Regis back on top 3-2, but the Eagles found the equalizer in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI single by Chelsey Crawford. In the bottom of the seventh, the Mollie Bartles led off the inning for the Eagles, working a walk before stealing second and then being sacrificed to third by Ashley England. Courtney Brennan hit a ball back to the mound that Katie Cuozzo could not handle as Bartles scooted home and gave the Eagles the 4-3 win.

Kirbie Garvey led the Pride with three hits in the nightcap and added an RBI and a run scored. Katie Cuozzo was 2-for-3 at the plate and pitched 6.2 innings while allowing four runs (one earned) while scattering six hits.
