Pride Track and Field Volunteers At Boston Marathon

BOSTON – In the spirit of comradery and commitment, members of the Regis (Mass.) track and field team lent a helping hand Monday as volunteers at the Boston Marathon.

13 members of the Pride volunteered at the Mile 14 water stop located in Wellesley. They handed out water and energy drinks to participants of the marathon from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

"The Boston Marathon is such an incredible event and something that so many of our athletes can relate to," said Regis head coach Kourtney Bonsey. "I am happy that a large part of our team was able to attend, support and experience such an inspiring sporting event."

Approximately 30,000 runners took part in the 121st edition of the race which began in Hopkinton and finished in downtown Boston.
