Indoor: At GNAC Indoor Championships, finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 10.87 meters (35' 8") ... At MIT Art Farnham Invitational, finished fourth in 400 meter dash in 53.34 seconds and fifth in long jump with mark of 5.83 meters (19' 1.5").
Outdoor: All-GNAC ... At GNAC Outdoor Championships, finished second in 400 meter dash in 52.18 seconds, in shot put at 11.53 meters (37' 10"), and in discus throw at 31.69 meters (104') ... Also finished third in pole vault at 3.05 meters (10'), in long jump at 6.11 meters (20' 0.5"), and in javelin throw at 44.96 meters (147' 6") ... Set school record in decathlon at Silfen Invitational with 4,970 points, including top marks among competitors in shot put (11.51m - 37' 9.25") and discus throw (33.75m - 110' 9").

Kiesel participated in track & field, baseball, and soccer at Rocky Hill High School in Rocky Hill, Conn. ... He was a two-time qualifier for the Class M State Championships in the 4x200 meter relay ...
