Pride Wrap Up 2023-24 at New England Outdoor Championships

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Regis College men's track and field team was represented by six members of the team this weekend at the 2024 New England Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke College.

Friday, Brett Kiesel (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished 16th overall in the javelin throw with a mark of 51.56 meters (169' 2") posted on his first attempt. In the 110 meter hurdles preliminaries, Harry Grayson (Lowell, Mass.) finished 27th overall with a time of 16.47 seconds.

Saturday, Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) posted a mark of 13.02 meters (42' 8.75") on his third and final attempt in the triple jump to land in 13th place overall. Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.) ended up in 23rd place overall in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.52 seconds.

Margiatto, Grayson, Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.), and Riley Stogsdill (San Diego, Calif.) combined to come very close to breaking the nine-year-old school record in the 4x400 meter relay. The Pride won their heat by almost a full second and finished 14th overall with a time of 3:28.15, just 0.42 seconds off the school record established at this meet in 2015, with that squad also winning their heat and placing 14th overall that year at MIT.

The 2024 outdoor season concludes for the Regis College men's track and field team, highlighted by second place finishes at both the GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
