RAPSIS, HEATHMAN, AND RYAN FINNISH AT THE TOP OF PRIDE CLASSIC

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College track team hosted the first home meet of the season Saturday (Apr. 9).  The Pride Classic was an open event that included five collegiate teams and fifteen independent athletes. The following collegiate institutions competed at the classic, Emmanuel College, Lesley University, Lasell College, Northern Essex Community College, and Saint Joseph's College.

The Pride's head coach Christine Kloiber was pleased with how well the meet went. The meet was planned with small schools similar to Regis.  "These schools were able to compete and make the meet exciting with a great amount of energy" stated Kloiber.  Kloiber was also thrilled to see her athletes posting career bests ahead of their planned peaking times.

The Pride competed at a high level during the meet with many of the teams' athletes reaching their season best times.   Adam Heathman (Newbury, Vt./Oxbow) took first place in the 100 meter and second in the 200m.
