WINTHROP, Mass. – After posting a personal-best performance Saturday at the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational, Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced Monday, Jan. 29, by the league office.

Thuotte posted the top individual placement among the Regis men Saturday as he finished second in the pole vault with a personal-best mark of 3.80 meters (12' 5.5"). Thuotte also finished ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.91 meters (39' 1").

With his pole vault performance Saturday, Thuotte is now atop the GNAC performance list in that event three weeks away from the GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. He also leads the league in the triple jump, plus he is third in the long jump and tied for fifth in the high jump.

Thuotte is slated to participate in the heptathlon at the Tufts Cupid Challenge and Multi-Events Meet Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3.
