SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Julia Haselhun (Carlsbad, Calif.) and freshman Matt Malone (West Roxbury, Mass.) finished off the weekend both with all-New England selections to highlight the Regis track and field teams on Saturday at the New England Track & Field Championships.
Haselhun yesterday qualified for next week's ECAC's in the long jump with a personal record of 5.31 meters and finished ninth out of the 34-person field.
Malone placed six in the 110-meter hurdles, setting a new personal record with a race time of 15.53.
Kate Cowden (Wilmington, Mass.) delivered an impressive performance in the discus, breaking her own school record with a 36.79 meter toss. Cowden also scored in the top 20 in the shot put with a distance toss of 11.17 meters.
Keegan Duguay (Watertown, Mass.) also finished of the championships with a strong perfromance, posting a top 15 time of 16.10 seconds in the women's 100m hurdle.
