ISRAEL SETS SCHOOL RECORD, OWENS MAKES SEMIFINALS

BOSTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's track and field team had a record breaking day at the All-New England Championships hosted on the campus of Boston University, on Friday afternoon.

Jeremy Israel (Boston, Mass.) set a new school record in the 400m with a time of 50.46. Israel broke his own school record of 50.61 set in February of 2012 at the Boston University indoor track.

His teammate Matt Owens (Boston, Mass.) ran a 7.1 in the 60m dash and qualified for Saturday's semifinal race with his 11th place finish.

Owens races tomorrow afternoon at 12:25 p.m. in the first heat of the 60m dash.
