OWENS PLACES 6TH AT NEW ENGLAND DIII CHAMPIONSHIPS

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Regis College was well represented at the New England Division III Indoor Track Championships on Saturday at MIT.

Sophomore sprinter Matt Owens (Boston, Mass.) cruised to a sixth place finish in the 60 m Finals after posting a blazing time of 7.02. For Owens, it was not only a personal best time, but it also broke the previous school record, which he had set just last weekend at the Tufts Cupid Invite.

Owens received All-New England Honors for his performance on Saturday.

Owens, along with junior Jeremy Israel (Boston, Mass.), will compete at the All-New England Indoor Championships next Saturday, March 1 at Boston University.
