ADAM HEATHMAN NAMED REGIS COLLEGE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Athletic Department is proud to announce the student athlete of the week.  Adam Heathman (Newbury, Vt./Oxbow)  of the men’s track and field team was selected as the student athlete of the week for his strong performance this past weekend at the Tufts University Invitational. Heathman has competed at a high level all season, breaking school records and qualifying for the Division III Track and Field Championships. 

Heathman has rewritten the Pride’s track and field record books this season. Heathman has set or broken three records this season.  He has set the school record for the 500, 200, and 400-meter events, recording a time of 1:08.23 in the 500, 23.33s in the 200, and 53.01s in the 400. This strong sprinting has allowed Heathman to qualify for the New England and Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships. Heathman certified a place in the ECAC championship by running a time of 1:08.23 in the 500.

Heathman will continue to train for the championships that will be held Saturday (Feb. 19) at Northeastern University.
