BALDWIN, BASBAS AND DALLAS NAMED ALL-ACADEMIC

The Pilgrim Lacrosse League announced its 2012 All-Academic team earlier this week and Regis College placed three members of its team on the squad. The Pride’s Brett Baldwin (Burlington, Vt.), John Basbas (Framingham, Mass.), and Nick Dallas (Huntington Beach, Calif.) were named to the 2012 All-Academic Team.

PRIDE PLACE THREE ON ALL-NECC TEAM

Three members of the Regis College softball team have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference’s All-NECC Team, it was announced on Monday afternoon by the league offices. Shortstop Samantha Bliss (Framingham, Mass.) and pitcher/designated player Sarah Porteus (South Wellfleet, Mass.) were named to the league’s Second Team, while first baseman Jill Bruning (Medford, Mass.) was named an Honorable Mention selection.

REGIS RECORDS AT D-III NEW ENGLAND TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

In their final meet of the 2011-12 outdoor track & field season, the five qualifying athletes for the Division III New England Track & Field Championships competed on Saturday at MIT. Under an overcast sky and cool temperatures, the Pride athletes didn't disappoint, capping off a stellar year with even more top-notch performances.

EAGLES STUN PRIDE WITH SIX-RUN RALLY IN SEVENTH

No. 3 Daniel Webster College overcame a 10-5 deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning and trailing by two runs to defeat No. 6 Regis College, 11-10, in the New England Collegiate Conference Softball Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Eagle Field. Regis wraps up its season at 8-24 overall.
