NEWTON, Mass. - After falling behind in the first quarter, Regis College rattled off 10 consecutive goals during the second and third quarters on its way to defeating Lasell University, 12-6, Tuesday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's lacrosse match at Grellier Field.

Down 4-0 after one quarter, the Pride started their comeback just over one-and-a-half minutes into the second period when Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) scored her 100th career goal, becoming the fifth player in program history to reach that milestone. Audrey Mason (West Springfield, Mass.) picked up two unassisted tallies to bring Regis within one goal at 4-3, and then Retta Hatin (Hooksett, N.H.) found Molly Higgins (Weymouth, Mass.) for a goal to tie the match at 4-4 with 3:49 remaining in the first half.

Just over one minute later, Serenity Ayala (North Brookfield, Mass.) scored her ninth goal of the season to put the Pride ahead at halftime, 5-4. Hope Alto (Boston, Mass.) started the third quarter with two goals in the span of 57 seconds, and then Mason earned her fourth hat trick of the season midway through the third period.

With 6:37 left in the third quarter, Marley scored her 101st career goal off an assist from Maddey Strickland (Hopkinton, Mass.), and then Strickland fed Marley for another goal 38 seconds later to extend the Pride lead to 10-4. Lasell's Teresa Kessner finally stopped the Regis scoring streak just under three minutes into the fourth quarter, but Regis was able to match the Lasers' two goals in the final period with tallies from Melinda Carbone (Bedford, Mass.) and Mason.

Besides her two goals, Alto earned 14 draw controls for the second straight match, putting her just 10 away from the Regis single season record set 11 years ago by Sam Salamone. Allayna Martone (Elkridge, Md.) started in goal for the Pride and made seven saves before Daniela Mazo (Bridgeport, Conn.) took over for the second half and collected seven saves as well.

Regis College (8-4, 4-3 GNAC) plays its final regular season road match at Colby-Sawyer Saturday, April 13, starting at 1 p.m. The Pride close the regular season with three straight home games, beginning with Saint Joseph's College next Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m.
