    For the second straight week and third time this season, sophomore defensive specialist Marilia Ramos (Chimbote, Peru) of the Regis College women’s volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier this morning.

    Regis College juniors Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif.) and Vanessa Noesi (Puerta Plata, D.R.) have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference Women’s Volleyball All-NECC teams. Gold was a First Team selection, while Noesi was named to the All-NECC Second Team.

    For the second-straight year, the top-seeded Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team is the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Champions after defeating visiting the No. 3-seeded Regis College Pride, 3-0, in Saturday’s championship match at SVC.

    The New England Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament semifinal match pitted the No. 2 Nighthawks of Newbury College against the third-seeded Regis College Pride. The match was a tightly contested one that saw Regis victorious in the upset, 3-1.

    Regis College outlasted Mitchell College, 3-1, on Wednesday night in the New England Collegiate Conference Women’s Volleyball Quarterfinals held in Weston, Mass. The #3 seeded Pride used set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 22-25, and 28-26 to defeat the No.6-seeded Mariners.

    Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass.) registered 12 kills as Regis College defeated Pine Manor College, 3-0, on Thursday night in non-conference women’s volleyball action. The Pride (12-16) have now won five straight matches dating back to October 13th. Pine Manor drops to 3-13 with the setback.

    Regis College and Daniel Webster College traded sets all night but the Pride came out on top with a 3-2 marathon victory over the Eagles on Wednesday night in New England Collegiate Conference women’s volleyball action. The Pride used set scores of 25-10, 18-25, 26-24, 11-25, 15-11 in the victory.

The Pride (8-16) suffered a 3-1 setback in the day’s opener by set scores of 18-25, 21-25, 26-24, 17-25, but rebounded in their second match of the day to beat the Colonels 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

The Mountaineers improve to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the NECC, while Regis falls to 6-14 and 0-2 in league play.

    Simmons volleyball took an early lead and never looked back as the Sharks defeated the Regis College Pride 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-16) Tuesday evening at the Holmes Sports Center in non-conference action. With the win, the Sharks move to 6-5 overall while the Pride fall to 4-11.

Junior Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif.) posted her 1,000th career dig in the fourth set of the match.
