  • MARRO, BRADLEY SELECTED FOR NEWBA SENIOR ALL-STAR CLASSIC

    Regis College women’s basketball seniors Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) and Janaya Bradley (New Haven, Conn.) have been selected to participate in the 2015 New England Women’s Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic. The game will be played on Saturday, March 28, at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
  • PRIDE FALL IN FIRST ROUND TO RED HAWKS

    The Regis College Women’s Basketball team suffered a 78-45 loss to #7 Nationally Ranked Montclair State University during the First Round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship. With the defeat, the Pride finish the season with a 22-6, 18-0 NECC record and with the victory, the Red Hawks improve to 27-1 and will square off against Stevenson University during the Second Round tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.

    For the third time this season, Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the Corvias ECAC Rookie of the Week. Stone shares the honor with Ashley Thompson (Bellingham, Mass.).

Marro was named the NECC Player of the Week for the first time, while Stone was named the league's top rookie for the eighth time this season.

    Regis College freshman Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference’s Rookie of the Year, it was announced on Monday morning by the league offices. Head Coach Angela Santa Fe was named the NECC Coach of the Year for the second-straight season after leading the Pride to another 18-0 NECC regular season and the program’s third-straight NECC Championship.

Regis improves to 21-5 overall, while the Mariners finish the year at 13-13.

With the victory the Pride improves to 19-5, 17-0 NECC and the loss drops the Wildcats to 11-13, 9-8 NECC.

The win marks the Pride’s 70th consecutive NECC regular season win as they improve to 18-5 on the season and remain a perfect 16-0 in the conference. The Lynx drop to 1-22 overall and 1-15 in the NECC.

With the victory, the Pride improve to 15-5, 13-0 NECC and with the setback the Nighthawks drop to 6-14, 5-8 NECC.

    Senior guard Janaya Bradley (New Haven, Conn.) led the Pride with 29 points on 11-of-15 (73.3%) shooting including an efficient 7-of-9 (77.8%) from three-point land as the Regis College Women’s Basketball team earned a victory against Bay Path University 94-44 in New England Collegiate Conference action on Thursday evening. With the win, the Crimson and Gold improve to 14-5, 12-0 NECC on the year and with the loss the Wildcats fall to 2-13, 2-9 NECC.
