Pam Gonzalez Selected D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region

WESTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive year, Regis College senior guard Pam Gonzalez (Revere, Mass.) has been recognized by national media organization D3hoops.com, as she has been selected Third Team All-Region 1 after leading the Pride during the 2022-23 season.

Gonzalez averaged a double-double with 16.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game along with 2.8 assists and 3.5 steals per contest. During the season, she became the 18th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark for her career, including the eighth player to accomplish the milestone within three competitions seasons for Regis.

At Wheaton Nov. 16, Gonzalez scored a career-high 36 points, tied for the second-highest single-game scoring total in program history and one of six times she scored 20 or more points during the season. She also pulled down a career-high 22 rebounds to go along with 15 points Feb. 21 against Rivier, her 11th double-double of the year.

Gonzalez adds this honor to her selection as First Team All-GNAC and NEWBA Third Team All-Region announced recently. She completed the season 10th on the Regis all-time scoring list with 1,119 points as well as fourth in career made three-pointers with 122, sixth in career scoring average at 15.54 points per game, and seventh in career steals with 202.

In total, four players from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) appeared on one of the D3hoops.com All-Region 1 teams: Jakara Murray-Leach (Second Team) and Caitlyn Scott (Third Team) of Albertus Magnus, Yannie Chan (Second Team) of Emmanuel, and Gonzalez.

For the third consecutive season, Regis hosted a GNAC Tournament quarterfinal game as it finished 12-6 in the league, the team's most conference victories since 2017-18. The Pride put together a seven-game winning streak Jan. 14 through Feb. 2, including four consecutive road wins.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including women's basketball, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
