CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Regis College women's basketball team remained unbeaten, 17-0, in New England College Conference (NECC) play and moved to 20-4 on the year with an 87-40 win over Lesley University tonight at Buckingham, Browne, & Nichols. With the win, Regis, who has locked up the top spot in the NECC Women's Basketball Championship, push their current win-streak to fifteen games. With the loss, the Lynx fall to 3-20 on the season and 2-15 in the conference.

Senior Sabree Rodriguez (Brockton, Mass.) and sophomore Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) led the Regis attack as they combined for 32 points on 13-of-17 shooting. Rodriguez added four rebounds and three steals to her game-high 19 points, while Marro grabbed five boards and dished out a game-high five assists in the win.

After a Shannon Baker (Lynbrook, N.Y.) three cut the early 4-0 Regis lead to one, the Pride went on an unprecedented 28-0 run over the next ten minutes. The Pride displayed aggressive half-court defense that came up with 15 steals and caused 24 Lynx turnovers in the opening period and limited Lesley to just 5-of-18 shooting.

In the second half, Regis was impressive once again as they went 14-of-20 (70%) from the floor and went 9-of-13 from the free throw line.

Freshman Taylor Bunkley (Carmel, N.Y.) had a game-high six steals to go with her six points off the bench for the Pride while sophomore center Monet Lowe (Framingham, Mass.) was a strong presence in the paint, finishing with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.
