SARAH MCNULT AND STEPHANIE CRAWFORD NAMED ALL-TCCC SECOND TEAM

WESTON, Mass.—Senior Sarah McNult (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy) and junior Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass./Rockland) were announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference to the women’s basketball All-TCCC Second Team Monday.

It is the first announcement to the All-TCCC team for McNult, and Crawford’s second announcement. McNult has had a tremendous senior campaign. McNult ranks nationally in the top 25 in two different categories, and is a contributing factor to Regis’ fourth consecutive appearance in the conference postseason.

McNult is ranked No. 23 in rebounds per game with an 11.6 rebounds per game average. In 2007-08, her freshman season, she was ranked No. 38 with 10.4 rebounds per game. During the 2010-11 season she was also ranked No. 24 in double-double performances with 13.0.

Between Nov. 23 and Dec. 11 McNult had four consecutive double-double games. She tallied career-high 20 rebounds versus John Jay (12/11/2010), and career-high 19 points versus Colby College (01/25/2011). Against Colby, McNult also captured her 1,000th career-rebound.

McNult averaged 10.3 points per game in her senior season, just 3.4 points behind team leader Crawford.

Crawford has been one of the most outstanding point guards in the conference, and a solid floor leader for Regis College. She averaged 13.4 points per game in 25 games, which also ranked her in the top 10 of the TCCC. Crawford was fifth in the TCCC with 3.9 assists per game, and a turnover ratio of 1.4.

In the 2010-11 season, Crawford shot 79.1 percent at the charity stripe. In 2008-09, her freshman season, Crawford went 14-for-14 at the free-throw line versus Mitchell (11/18/2008).

The pair will lead Regis College into what has been a two-time battle to the TCCC championship when it travels to Endicott for the third time in three years. Regis College faced Endicott in 2008-09, but lost to the Gulls. The Pride redeemed itself in 2009-10, defeating the Gulls in the semifinal game to advance to the championship.

Conference quarterfinal action begins Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 PM for Regis College at Endicott.
