Weston, Mass.—Freshman Claire Ramonas (Portland, Maine/Deering) was recognized by The Commonwealth Coast Conference office Monday as its women's basketball rookie of the week.

The conference wrote of Ramonas' having averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 steal in weeks games. She started the week with 15 points in a 71-40 victory over New England College. In that game she shot better than 60 percent from the floor, and went 3-for-5 at the free-throw line.

Ramonas also posted a game-high of 21 points against Eastern Nazarene, including going 9-for-16 from the field.

Ramonas first received TCCC Rookie of the Week December 13 after posting back-to-back games of at least 12 points, where she also tallied a weekly high of 16 points versus John Jay in the Park Lodge Tournament.
