Harvey Earns Third GNAC Rookie of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. - For the third time this season, first-year forward Jamir Harvey (Robbins, Ill.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week as announced Monday, February 6, by the league office.

Harvey returned to the starting lineup as the Pride went 1-1 on the week, averaging 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals throughout both games. He is also fifth in the GNAC in field goal percentage (.552) on the season.

In Thursday's victory against Anna Maria, he shot 7-for-9 from the field to finish with 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Harvey played a season-high 35 minutes in Saturday's contest against Colby-Sawyer, notching his second double-double of the season while leading the Pride with 23 points and 10 rebounds along with two steals and two blocks. Harvey managed to shoot 9-for-12 from the field, including a perfect 5-for-5 in the second half to help Regis rally from a 19-point halftime deficit to pull into a tie in the final minute of regulation.

Regis College (11-10, 7-7 GNAC) continues its stretch of home games hosting Lasell on Wednesday, February 8, beginning at 5:00 p.m. before finishing out its regular season home schedule with Senior Day against Albertus Magnus on Saturday, February 11, tip-off at 3:00 p.m.
