MEN'S LACROSSE WELCOMES 12 NEW PLAYERS IN 2014

The Regis College men's lacrosse team will welcome one NCAA Division III and two Division II transfer students along with nine incoming freshmen for the 2014 season, making up what Head Coach Josh Blumenthal considers a group of immediate impact players.

Four players from the Regis College men's lacrosse team have been named to the 2013 Pilgrim Lacrosse League All-Academic Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

O'BRIEN NAMED TO PILGRIM LEAGUE SECOND TEAM

Regis College freshman midfielder Jack O’Brien (Milton, Mass.) has been named to the Pilgrim League’s All-Conference Second Team, it was announced by the league offices on Monday night. O’Brien was among the league-leaders and NCAA leaders in face-offs and groundballs this season.

BUCS EDGE PRIDE IN PILGRIM LEAGUE FINALE

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy defeated Regis College, 11-7, in Pilgrim League men’s lacrosse action on Wednesday night in Weston, Mass. The Buccaneers improve to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in the Pilgrim League, while the Pride wrap up their 2013 at 4-11 overall and 0-6 in league games.

Babson College raced out to an early lead and never looked back as the Beavers defeated visiting Regis College on Sunday afternoon in Babson Park, Mass. The Pride fall to 4-10 overall and 0-5 in the Pilgrim League, while Babson has won three-straight games to improve its record to 8-6 overall and 4-0 in league games.

A balanced attack that saw 11 players record at least one point helped propel MIT to a 17-2 victory over Regis College in a Pilgrim Lacrosse League game on Wednesday evening.

The Regis College men’s lacrosse team hosted Dennis and Sean Lambert on Monday afternoon as a part of their practice. The duo are members of the Regis College lacrosse team through the Team Impact program.

Regis College head men’s lacrosse coach has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year, it was announced by the league offices on Tuesday. The Pride also placed five members of its squad on the All-NECC Teams, including four First Team selections for Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.), Chris Campbell (South Hadley, Mass.), Stephan Bottex (Norwood, Mass.), and Jack O’Brien (Milton, Mass.). The Pride’s Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass.) was named to the All-NECC Honorable Mention team.

Clark University defeated Regis College by a score of 13-6 on Saturday afternoon in Pilgrim League men’s lacrosse action in Weston, Mass. The Pride fall to 4-8 overall on the year and 0-3 in the Pilgrim League, while Clark improves to 7-4 and 2-1 in League games.

The Wheaton College men's lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Regis College, 17-7, in Pilgrim League action on Saturday afternoon at Mirrione Stadium.

SPRINGFIELD BESTS REGIS IN BATTLE OF PRIDES

Springfield College defeated Regis College by a score of 26-3 on Wednesday night in men’s lacrosse action in each team’s respective Pilgrim League opener. Regis drops to 3-6 on the year and 0-1 in the Pilgrim League, while Springfield improves to 3-6 and moves to 1-0 in league games.
